PPWC 2024 theme is:
Jazz up your Writing: The Roaring 20s comes to the Pikes Peak Writers Conference!
Pull out your flapper dresses, fedoras & channel your inner Gatsby.
We’re going to Paris 1920 and we’re gonna learn from the best: Hemingway, Stein, Joyce, Beach, Eliot, the Fitzgeralds.
April 26-28, 2024

If you have a workshop idea you’d like to see at conference or one you’d like to teach, pitch it before September 29.

The more workshops you can teach, the more likely you'll be chosen for faculty. We pay travel, hotel, food and conference fees plus a small honorarium, which is scaled to the number of workshops you teach.

If you submitted last year and want the committee to consider your class again for 2024, contact Karen Fox.

We are back!

Hello Writers – We are back for another great writers’ conference! Last year saw us in person for the first time in three years, and it was fantastic. Here’s some feedback from that April 2022 conference: “Dynamite!” “Fun!” “Creative!” “Refreshing!” “Holy moly this was amazing!” “Friendliest conference ever!” We pride […]

Conference Benefits

By: Catherine Dilts When I began my writing journey, I listened closely to advice. One universal bit of guidance was to attend writers’ conferences. The Pikes Peak Writers Conference didn’t exist when I became serious about writing fiction. I didn’t have a clue about conferences, or their benefits. Three Bits […]

A 3-day fiction-writing conference for writers of all levels, indie and traditionally published, featuring a variety of craft and business workshops, acquiring editors/agents and well-known authors across a variety of genres.

Regular pricing for in person attendance is $449.00. Access to 30 videotaped workshops for up to 90 days after conference is $225.00.

Unfortunately, we will not be able to offer a virtual option, but please stay tuned for next year’s offerings.

This information will be available on the registration site.

Your conference registration fee includes Friday’s welcome lunch and dinner, Saturday’s continental breakfast, keynote luncheon and banquet, and Sunday’s continental breakfast and farewell luncheon. Additional Saturday banquet tickets are available for purchase for spouses and guests.  Faculty members will host lunch and dinner tables so you have the opportunity to chat with that editor, agent or author you’ve been dying to meet.

Coming Soon

We will have some great workshops this year! Please check back for updates.

We recommend you dress in layers for your own comfort. Business casual if you have a pitch appointment.

We are committed to a safe environment for all our attendees. Because we want our conference to be safe for everyone, we’ll follow CDC guidelines. Proof of a Covid test or vaccine may become a requirement, but we’ll make the decision in April.
