The 2024 Pikes Peak Writers Conference is April 26-28, 2024 and we want to see you there! We’re bringing back the 1920s with our theme: “Jazz Up Your Writing: The Roaring 20s is Coming to Pikes Peak Writers!” So brush up on your Hemingway, Stein, Joyce, Fitzgeralds because we’re donning our flapper dresses and fedoras and learning from the Lost Generation, and we can’t wait.
Our confirmed keynotes are: Sci-Fi bestseller Kevin Ikenberry, Thriller bestseller Yasmin Angoe and our two Featured Authors are Colorado’s Own Mystery award-winner Barbara Nickless and bestselling Indie romance author Sarra Cannon.
Our agents and editors come from all over and represent the industry from the Big Five in New York to smaller presses in your hometown.
If you have a workshop idea you’d like to see at conference or one you’d like to teach, pitch it before September 29 on our portal.
The more workshops you can teach, the more likely you’ll be chosen for faculty. We pay travel, hotel, food and conference fees plus a small honorarium, which is scaled to the number of workshops you teach.
Registration opens November 1.
The website will be updated throughout the year as we nail down speakers, teachers, agents, editors and workshops, so please keep checking back. As always feel free to reach out to me with questions or conference ideas.
